What We Do

We lead projects that redirect power, transform relationships, and create radical change.

We create new tables that rebalance differential power and bring stakeholders together to solve problems. Led by impacted community, we leverage and share our technical skills in research, evaluation and analysis; data innovation; strategy support; relationship and capacity building; and narrative shifting to advance concrete and actionable policy and practice solutions that lead to real and lasting change in our communities.

Put simply: We support our partners in moving from equity-based language to equity-based actions.

We provide…

  • Research, Evaluation and Analysis

We collaborate with impacted communities and partners across sectors to reveal and address complex problems.

We use mixed methods evaluation, quantitative survey, qualitative focus group and semi-structured interviews, and other emerging methodologies co-designed by impacted communities.

  • Data Innovation for Actionable Change

We elevate how community members are creating knowledge in their everyday lives and identify concrete changes that make a difference.

Through our community-led process, we co-develop new ways of knowing or understanding problems, collecting and making meaning of data, and translating that information into specific changes to policy and practice.

  • Accountable and Generative Strategy Support

We create intentional space for partners to engage in ongoing learning and redirect power to community to name and solve problems on their own terms.

Utilizing our skills in facilitation, we name and mitigate the harms of white supremacy culture, expect and manage tension and conflict, and hold all partners accountable to the inherent leadership of impacted communities.

  • Intentional Relationship and Capacity Building

We rebalance power by convening new tables that bring stakeholders together across difference and grow community capacity.

Our relational approach supports community members in building their own capacity and leadership, and seeks to fundamentally transform how partners with differential power work with communities in the long term.

  • Narrative Change

We amplify lived experiences that reveal root causes of racial injustice and reshape critical discussion and debates at the local and national level.

By creating space for impacted communities and their co-conspirators to radically reimagine our collective futures, we raise up narratives and share perspectives that disrupt dominant cultures, histories and systemic processes of neglect and disinvestment to challenge what we think we know and uplift new narratives.
